Privacy Policy

TCG Binders ("we," "our," or "us") operates the website tcgbinders.app and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or use our application.

By using TCG Binders, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Display name
• Password (stored securely as a hash — we never store plain text passwords)

Collection Data

When you use our service, we collect:

• Card collection information (cards you scan and add)
• Photos you upload of your trading cards (front and back images)
• Binder organization data
• Condition grades and notes (both AI-generated and user-provided)

Marketplace Data

If you connect a third-party marketplace account (e.g., eBay), we collect:

• OAuth access tokens (to act on your behalf on the marketplace)
• Seller preferences (country, postal code, shipping and return settings)
• Listing data you create through our platform

Waitlist Information

If you join our waitlist, we collect your email address.

Automatically Collected Information

• Device and browser information
• IP address

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services
• Process your card scans and provide AI-powered condition grading
• Manage your collection and binder data
• Facilitate marketplace listings on your behalf
• Send you service-related communications
• Respond to your requests and provide support
• Protect against fraud and enforce our terms

3. AI Processing

We use artificial intelligence services to:

• Identify trading cards from photos you upload
• Assess the physical condition of your cards
• Screen uploaded images for inappropriate content

Photos you submit for scanning are sent to third-party AI providers (Anthropic, Google) for processing. These providers process the data according to their own privacy policies and do not retain your images beyond the processing request.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

• Third-party marketplace platforms (e.g., eBay) when you choose to list cards for sale — only the data necessary to create the listing
• AI service providers (Anthropic, Google) for card identification and condition grading — only card photos, not personal data
• Other users — only binder data you explicitly mark as "public"
• Legal requirements — if required by law, subpoena, or legal process

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

• Password hashing (bcrypt)
• JWT-based authentication
• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Encrypted storage for marketplace access tokens

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your collection data (CSV export available)
• Disconnect linked marketplace accounts at any time
• Opt out of marketing communications

To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@tcgbinders.app.

We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

8. Children's Privacy
